Welcome to The Kimberley Hotel
The Kimberley Hotel, nestled in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, offers a balanced blend of convenience and comfort. Situated at 28 Kimberley Road, it places guests amidst a vibrant cityscape rich with shopping on Nathan Road, eclectic bars on Knutsford Terrace, and captivating views of the city skyline. Its central location is a gateway for travelers eager to immerse themselves in urban life while maintaining easy access to public transit, including nearby MTR stations.
Guests frequently praise the hotel’s courteous and attentive staff, whose efforts elevate the overall experience. Many appreciate the newly renovated suites, which provide modern amenities in a layout that suits families and groups. The comfortable living and dining spaces within these rooms create a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a temporary home. Yet, subtle imperfections remain evident—aging building infrastructure introduces challenges, such as occasional lingering odors and dated carpeting, which some guests find detract from the otherwise fresh interiors.
The Kimberley balances well-appointed facilities like free Wi-Fi, laundry services, and fitness amenities with practical drawbacks, including paid breakfast and parking, no pet allowance, and non-smoke-free rooms, which may influence discerning travelers’ choices. The hotel also shines in offering accessibility features and a range of room service options, catering to various guest needs.
This hotel’s charm lies in its location and service rather than luxury. It feels vibrant and real—embedded in a bustling district alive with food stalls, cookie shops, and cafés nearby. While some visitors notice wear in the rooms or operational quirks like slow elevators during peak seasons, the friendly reception and thoughtful upgrades, such as complimentary room enhancements, mitigate many concerns.
Ultimately, The Kimberley Hotel is a pragmatic choice for those who value immersion in a dynamic city environment, genuine hospitality, and practical amenities over pristine opulence. It offers an honest, lived-in experience reflective of Hong Kong itself—constantly evolving, richly textured, and welcoming to those ready to explore its streets and stories.

We stayed at this hotel in Hong Kong as a family of three—my parents and I—and overall, it was a very comfortable and convenient stay. We booked a newly renovated suite, which had one bedroom and a separate living and dining area. The layout was perfect for us. My parents slept in the bedroom while I slept on the sofa in the living room. Surprisingly, the sofa was very comfortable, and I fit perfectly. The room itself was spacious—we were able to fully open three large suitcases and still move around comfortably. The bathroom was also well designed, with a separate bathtub and shower, which we really appreciated. We arrived around 12 noon and were pleasantly surprised that we were allowed to check in early, which made our trip much smoother. Because of Hong Kong’s regulations on reducing plastic use, the hotel does not provide complimentary bottled water or toothbrushes. That wasn’t an issue for us since there’s a supermarket just across the street where you can easily buy what you need. The location is very convenient. It’s near the airport bus stop, making arrival and departure easy. There are also plenty of food options nearby—a famous goose restaurant across the street, a Hong Kong café with really good bread, and a 7-Eleven close by. Check-in and check-out were both quick and hassle-free. On the downside, the hotel is about a 7-minute walk from the nearest train station, which might be slightly inconvenient for some. Also, the mini refrigerator in our room wasn’t working. Maintenance came to check it, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to fix it during our stay. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and appreciated the spacious room, convenient location, and smooth service.
The Kimberley Hotel in Hong Kong is a convenient and comfortable stay option located in the lively Tsim Sha Tsui area. Its central location makes it easy to access shopping streets, restaurants, and nearby MTR stations, which is helpful for travellers exploring the city. The hotel offers clean rooms, courteous service, and a good breakfast spread.
The rooms are a good size with all the things you need, however the roofs are mouldy, our shower stand didn’t work and the tvs have a protective shell built around them where i banged my elbow. The service here though is amazing, the cleaners do an amazing job and the staff are very helpful.
The hotel is loacted a very convienient place. There is plenty of food available downstairs, inclusing famous dessert, hongkong traditional dim sim cuisine, and also cafe. 15-min walk to K11 and victoria harbor. On the way of 15 min, you will see cookie shops, cafes, gift shops etc. The staff was friendly and upgarde our room for free, very considerate. The room facilities are a bit old but funtion well. In such loaction and such type of room in Hongkong, he price ia very reasonable.
In Chinese new year, you have to wait for up to ten minutes for elevator. They don't provide disposable toiletries. Location is good.
Rooms were a bit old so the renovations happening now at the hotel are just right on time. Hotel staff was really friendly and accommodating and the location is soooo perfect! 5-7mins walk to MTR, infront of 711 and restaurants, next to Donki, 5mins to mall. Will still come back here and I def will recommend!
A hotel that is located in a very good location. The room is kind of old. Not a fan of hotel with carpets. The no free water and tooth paste policy really suck. Service is good.
First time to this hotel. Chose one of the newly renovated rooms so the amenities are quite new and nice. However the rooms were not that clean as we found some pieces of hair in the bathroom and also on the carpet. The carpet was also stained, probably due to bad customer with no manners. Although the rooms are newly renovated, the building is still old so it’s not so sound proof. The elevators are still old and the lobby is quite outdated as well. Since it is under renovations, there is construction going on during the day time so could get a bit noisy. The highest floor is 21, which is where the suites are. The rooms are spacious but there is no elevator to the 21 floor so you need to take the stairs from the 20th floor. The location is great, in city center and you can get around most places by walking. The subway station is also very close. For the prices and spacious room, I do think it’s quite worthy Would probably come back again
